Program Summary
The "Dream Year Project"
is the name for BSCE's annual curriculum (High Schoo
l Gap Year & Young Adults’ Gap Year) composed of
experiences designed to bring together various people and
activities that aim to facilitate our students to learn directly
from local communities and the world itself.
These firsthand experiences throughout the year contribute
to the restoration of students' self-confidence and to
the discovery of their own dreams that would fulfill the needs of the world.
The Dream Year Project is in fact the Korean version of the "Transition Year," an innovative education model praised among multiple developed nations.
BSCE offers an integrated one-year curriculum of on and offline programs for high school students during their
arranged academic leave of absence from their original school in a totally unrestricted manner. 18 countrywide
local learning centers, 100+ teachers and 1000+ mentors work for the character education and career consulting
of our students. Students learn to apply 5 basic rules of life that we call the BOS (Brain Operating System):
"Collect your mind (stay sober)," "Good news makes a good brain," "Choices create reality,"
"Be the owner of your time and space," and "Design your own environment." In addition, students are taught to bear a
rightful historical awareness and are furnished with global leadership as an Earth citizen.

As they lead the planning process of these activities as well, students, in a proactive manner, acquire capacities that they need in order to live a productive life.
- Achievement goals in these activities are also set by the students themselves. Parents, teachers, and professional mentors are there to further facilitate their self-directed school life and educational management.
